Hey race fans, if you’re interested in learning the “nuts and bolts” of NHRA drag racing, or if you’re curious about a driver’s perspective, then “Nitro School” is for you.
The NHRA has two Nitro Schools scheduled during the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at BIR this weekend. The schools are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday on a stage in front of Top Fuel driver Richie Crampton’s Lucas Oil pit area next to the Nitro Mall.
Crampton and NHRA announcer Alan Reinhart will be leading the 30-minute Nitro Schools, which will include entertaining and educational discussions about topics like the Christmas tree, fuel volume, ignition, engine and clutch parts, clutch application, etc. They’ll also compare a dragster’s workings to that of a street car, and will take questions from the fans.
Nitro School is intended to be a fun, light-hearted way to educate fans in the pits. So set an alert on your phone to remind you of when school is in session, and join us for the first-ever Nitro School at BIR!
