For those who want to try their hand at legal drag racing, BIR offers you a chance to test yourself and your car on the same drag strip used by the world’s best drag racers during the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals.

Here’s how it works: Anyone who shows up on the designated night with a street legal car (including trucks and motorcycles), a helmet and $20 can race on our track as many times as they want. You get use the light tree, the burn-out box and the scoreboard, which shows your elapsed time at the finish line. We even have an announcer calling the action.

The gates typically open at 5 p.m. and the track shuts down at dusk. Spectators can watch for $5.
