Bill Doolittle to be honored with tree re-dedication

The racing community at Brainerd International Raceway lost true friend a great champion of drag racing when Bill Doolittle passed away last month. DoolittleHe was 92.

Bill’s passion was NHRA drag racing and, for many years, he was a fixture on the starting line of BIR’s drag strip.

Bill will be honored this Saturday at the conclusion of racing. It’s BIR’s first Bracket Drag Racing Series race of the season. The family will be re-dedicating Kitty’s tree at the back of staging. Kitty was Bill’s beloved wife, who preceded him in death.

The event is open to all racers and fans.

Thank you from the Doolittle, Roberts and Pilarski families!
