If you’re a sucker for classic show cars – those that don’t show a speck of dust or a blemish of any kind – than the Bad Boyz Car Show is for you. Street rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, trucks, all of which are 1979 models or older, will be featured during this three-day event. There could be as many as 1,000 vehicles in the show.
The premium show cars – the best of the best – will be judged during the Builders Showcase. Most of the vehicles, though, will participate in the Park & Show, which is also a judged event.
The car show will have something for everyone, including the following:
• Drive-in movie – The old drive-in movie theater on Hwy 371 just north of BIR will be re-opened Friday and Saturday nights for a nostalgic trip down Memory Lane. There will be a tailgate party, music, food and, of course, a movie on the big screen. Cost is $10 per car load. Open to the public.
• Live music at the BIR Bandshell by The Big Kahuna, who will play all your favorite ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s tunes.
• FLWA wrestling demonstration and autograph session
• Auto auction of street rods and muscle cars
• Swap meet
• 1/8-mile drag races
